Digitalisation is an important source of growth, innovation and new business, transforming our economy and society at a rapid pace. Inland Waterway Transport requires a digital transition of the business processes of stakeholders in Inland Waterborne Transport (IWT).

Masterplan Digitalisation of Inland Waterways

Masterplan Digitalisation of Inland Waterways (DIWA) is a CEF funded multi-Beneficiary project aiming at developing a digitalisation strategy for IWT in the period 2022 until 2032. The project started in the course of 2019 and will last until the end of 2022. The project area covers altogether 5 European countries joined their forces under the coordination of the Dutch Waterway Administration Rijkswaterstaat with the common goal to realise a Digitalisation Masterplan.
